Our History
Welcome to Grixdale Farms, a charming neighborhood nestled just east of Palmer Park in Detroit. Our community has a rich history, dating back to 1913 when it was platted by Frank Grix as the Grixdale Home Park Subdivision.
Located just nine miles from downtown Detroit, Grixdale Farms offers the perfect blend of tranquility and convenience. Our residents enjoy easy access to Palmer Park, which offers a variety of recreational activities, including a golf course, tennis courts, and a playground.

Old Woodward
Interesting! Many people may not know that Woodward Avenue between Six and Seven Mile Roads in Wayne County, Michigan, holds a piece of history. It was paved in 1909, creating the country's first mile of concrete highway. That's right, the first mile of concrete highway in the entire country is located right here in our community! It's a fascinating piece of history that shows how our community has been at the forefront of innovation and progress.
